Oil Field Swab Cups
Oil field swab cups are used in the oil and gas industry. Associated Spring manufactures swab cups to our customers’ drawings or specifications. Our swab cups are reinforced with a spring steel wire insert and metal backup, and coated with urethane.
Swab cups are used to remove fluids and debris from wells, allowing wells to flow naturally. The cups are attached to a mandrel on a swabbing tool and run on a wire-line or swab line into the well through the tubing. This allows fluid in the tubing to flow past the assembly. The cups are designed to hold pressure in one direction only, sealing against the tubing, forcing the overlying fluid up the tubing.

A blueprint or sketch is the best way to specify your swab cup requirements. Please complete the contact form below and we will provide you with a quotation.
CloverDome™ Spring Washers for Flange-Gasket Assemblies
The unique force-deflection ratio of the CloverDome™ spring washer allows you to torque bolt & nut assemblies to a precise specified spring load. This capability makes it possible to compress gaskets between flanges to a specified pressure while providing room for the flange assembly to flex within the deflection limits of the CloverDome spring washer. Typically CloverDome springs are torqued down to 50% or 75% of their dome height as needed.

Spring Pack Assemblies
A Spring Pack assembly is a series of equally angularly spaced compressions springs, acting together, and held by steel retaining plates to provide a uniform loading surface. They can be used wherever large compression springs are not suitable or Belleville Disc springs are too expensive. Associated Spring can produce Spring Pack assemblies based on customer drawings or engineering specifications and geometry. Our Spring Packs use uniquely designed retainer plates for containing the springs and are typically engineered for maximum fatigue life and load loss performance characteristics.
For clutch, gearbox, transmission, or general return spring applications, the Spring Pack performs exactly like a collection of springs under a steel plate. The force profile is usually linear, but can exceed the allowable deflection offered by Belleville Disc springs and is more geometrically stable than single compression springs under the same loading conditions. Spring Packs can allow for the force requirement to be split up among many smaller springs working side by side achieving the desired performance.

Whether our customers are seeking a lower cost alternative to using multiple disc springs or are facing other challenging design and application constraints, a Spring Pack can be a viable solution in many cases.
