Product Development Center Pushing the Boundaries of Technology
Developed and equipped for extensive research in such areas as metallurgy, stress, failure analysis, testing and production methods, the Product Development Center (PDC) also includes a full complement of production equipment to create functional prototypes that are repeatable in manufacturing. From the initial computer design, the PDC can produce a fully functional prototype using production intent materials on the identical equipment that is used in our manufacturing plants. We then test these prototypes to assure performance to specifications, and analyze potential failure modes and, if necessary, make design corrections. And because all of these operations are performed in-house, prototype development time is significantly compressed. |
