Spring pack assemblies, also referred to as clutch return spring packs, are often found in a multitude of applications for transmissions, clutches and gearboxes.  Spring packs primarily assist by returning the piston to its starting position when the clutch is disengaged.  In rotating clutches, spring packs prevent the piston from applying the clutch plates.
